Ok, so when it came to my weight, I have to say that I was pretty lucky in my younger years. You see, I have always been thin, my mom would tell me, Connie, if ever you put on 5 pounds, get it off immediately, because it will just keep going up from there. Well, I never started having weight problems until my late 30’s.
Then I gained 5 pounds, thought of what my mom had always said but never thought I would have to do anything about it. Then another 15 pounds later I started to get concerned. Once I was a total of 25lbs overweight, I knew that I was going to do something about it.
So I cut back on what I ate, I wasn’t much of a dieter though, and I did start working out 30 min a day, 4 days a week. I lost 5 pds. and a couple of inches in the legs, but after that I was stuck. So I turned to 1 hr. a day 4 days a week, cut back even more on what I was eating and talk about discouraging. Nothing!
I needed help. So, following 8 months of diet and exercise, I decided to turn to the internet. Of course I came across many ebooks, some free some I bought and they were all the same.
Nothing was working, another 4 months later I found Tom Venuto’s “Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle” ebook. Figured that it may be just like all the others, you know, if you’ve read one, you’ve read them all, but boy, was I pleasantly surprised!
I really learned a lot from him, basically, what it came down to wasn’t “How you eat” but “What you eat” I’ll let him explain what I mean by that.
He gives you a list of foods not to eat and of course healthy foods, and you will want to keep in mind that he says it’s OK to treat yourself once in a while. Now it does seem like a lot at first, but after the first week, my stomach started shrinking and I really didn’t feel like eating as much. Then I would start getting full sooner and before I knew it, I would be uncomfortable and hate myself for eating for overeating.
